Staff and council at Chatham House are saddened to hear of the death of Alistair Darling, who was co-president of the Institute.
We are fortunate to have had a long and fruitful relationship with Lord Darling in various roles over the years, from speaker and panellist to, more recently, senior adviser and president.
He brought great insight and counsel from his experiences to Chatham House and was a respected and valued colleague and friend.
Our thoughts and condolences are with his family and loved ones at this time.
